Hi Carlos,

I am an ADC participant for Madrid (Three group submissions). Sadly, we didn't pass the first cut, but we really appreciate your post, since there hasn`t been much feedback from Google yet.

You say judges must ignore requests from entrants until they finish their role. My question is: Are you open to discuss about submitted applications after the challenge (round 2) has finished?

Regards,
Enrique.

I think the Android emulator is slow because of its own nature. It allows us to develop and test applications in an actual Android runtime environment, equipped with valuable add-ons: a virtual machine monitor, tools for tracing log data, etc. Besides, you have received a bit old IBM pack... and I know that the emulator is kind of RAM-eater... :-)

As far as the browser is concerned, I would expect a similar behaviour to iPhone's one because both of them are based in WebKit (http://webkit.org), the open source web browser engine used by Safari and other MacOS X applications.

With regard to how the phone apps are displayed on the emulator, you seem to have received a pack with the m3 version of the platform, whereas the last version is the m5 which has a quite a bit different look&feel (http://www.phonemag.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/android_feb08_sdk_one.jpg).
